Cava is one of the best-known wines of our region. It is a sparkling wine produced with the method “champenoise”, the one used in the French region of Champagne, this is why, for many years it was our champagne. The name Cava, was adopted in 1972 to differentiate these sparkling wines made in France.
Virtually all cava is produced in our country, is produced in Catalonia, and specifically in the Penedés region.
